Praying 'round The Clock At Star Lake Musicamp

Font Size

The territory's 24/7 SA Prayer effort moved to the annual Star Lake Musicamp for young musicians the week of Aug. 12–20, 2006, and Ron Waiksnoris, territorial music secretary, says it made this year's camp something special.

Waiksnoris said the 24/7 prayer tent brought 'a spiritual element and a calm in a lot of ways.'

Younger campers had to be in bed by midnight, so adults staffed the overnight shifts in the prayer tent. Waiksnoris said it was no problem making sure the tent was staffed; at times, he said, 'it was double-booked.' In fact, he said, more people signed up to pray than the tent could accommodate.
